Trivia: While everyone is at the table eating supper and talking, little John Curtis taps on John's shoulder, then John turns and asks "What?" John Curtis points to his pants and excitedly says, "I got new pants," and John says, "I see that. Who got you those? Your mommy?" Then John Curtis looks offscreen, away from the other actors on set, and replies, "No, from Pat," (no characters named Pat are on the show) and without missing a beat, John responds, "From Pat? Where does she live? On the next farm?" And John Curtis answers, "Yeah," amidst all the giggles we can hear, so John answers with a smirk, "Okay, good!" This is such a hilariously precious unscripted moment, and great they decided to leave it in the episode. (00:26:15)
Trivia: Mischa Barton also played the dead girl who threw up in The Sixth Sense.
Trivia: At around 5 mins 11 seconds into the episode, Vincent Nigel-Murrey and Dr. Saroyan are discussing the bones on the forensic platform. In the background of a shot of Vincent, the x-ray on the screen is of Homer Simpson's head in the middle of the screen, instead of a real human skull.
Trivia: When Ted and Robin are at the restaurant, they are accidentally sent a champagne glass with an engagement ring in. A man then claims the ring and proposes to his girlfriend. This couple really did get engaged on the show - the guy set up the surprise proposal, as his girlfriend thought they were just there as extras.
Trivia: The show was originally titled "Teenage Wasteland" or "The Kids Are Alright" but those were songs by The Who and, legally, Fox couldn't get permission to use them. They renamed the show "Feelin' Alright" to show the focus groups. However, nobody really liked the name. After the focus groups airing, the audience were heard saying they really liked that show about the 70's or that 70's show - and the name stuck.
Trivia: James Eckhouse plays Jim Walsh, father of Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley). In real life, Eckhouse is only 14 years older than Priestley.

Star Toni Collette has stated as recently as 2017 that she was still frustrated that the show had been cancelled, as she loved the series and the cast and thought it would have gone on at least a few more seasons.
Trivia: Linda Hamilton was pregnant during production and wanted to be written out of the show so her character Catherine was killed off at the end of Season 2. This caused ratings to drop and the show was cancelled halfway into Season 3.
