Trivia: If you listen very carefully to the part where Al MIchaels says, "Do you believe in miracles? YES...", you'll notice that it's from the original broadcast of the game in 1980. All other play-by-play was re-done by Michaels as the movie was produced. The reason they used the original 1980 broadcast for just that specific moment is that Michaels had a difficult time recreating the emotion and excitement he felt when shouting it as it really happened.

Trivia: When Derice is applying for loans at different banks, the wall behind each bank manager is always the same wall! The plants and decorations are different, but it's the identical wall.

Trivia: One of the fans in the stands is actually Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger. He can be seen in the last few minutes of the film wearing a dark colored coat with a thick, light colored collar/lapel. Seconds after the actor playing Rudy runs onto the field near the end of the final game, you can see the real Rudy sitting directly behind the actress playing Rudy's mother. Then about 15 seconds after the game ending tackle, the actor playing Rudy's father turns around and grabs the real Rudy by the coat collar/lapel, then slaps his chest in joyful celebration.

Trivia: When the film was shown during the 2003 Baseball Hall of Fame ceremony, Susan Sarandon and her partner Tim Robbins were not invited because of the controversy surrounding their anti-war views on Iraq.
