Continuity mistake: When JB dreams about singing "Master Exploder" in the small bar, he points at one guy in the audience and literally blows his mind. When he starts pointing you can not only see JB's face, but also how his elbow is in a slight angle. In the next shot the camera shows the guy JB is pointing at and his elbow is completely stretched. The views change several times and the angle of his elbow changes after every cut, until the guy's brain is finally blown out.
Continuity mistake: When the real 'manager' comes outside to yell at "Mr. O'Donnell', you see the manager walk back into the club. If you look in the background of the next shot, you can see the manager walking through the door again. (00:13:25)
Factual error: During the scene where Mozart is being carried away in his coffin by horse and cart there is a brief shot where he is being taken down a muddy path and a farmer is seen with his cows. If you look closely to the left side of the screen you can see a large overhead power line. If you look even more closely you can even see the wires coming out of the pylon. The movie is set in the 18th century and obviously it should not be there. (02:50:50)
Continuity mistake: Toward the end, Russell goes to talk to William at his house. He turns the chair around to sit on it backwards, and throws the shirt down onto the ground. When he sits down the shirt is back on the chair.
Continuity mistake: During the interview, while sitting, his striped pants are unzipped for a few cuts, then they are zipped in later shots.
Factual error: In a scene in 1980, Brian May is teaching everyone the beat for his new song "We Will Rock You." However that song was released in 1977.
Continuity mistake: During the first scene set in a prison cell, as Martin Luxford (played by Hugo Speer) is about to be released, there is a glitter ball made from an orange covered in tin foil. It is rotating first one way and then the other, as it has been spun by hand. As the film action cuts between the two characters, the ball mysteriously changes direction without having slowed down and at one point appears stopped, having previously been rotating rather fast.
Factual error: In World War 2 London, Pink is shown playing with an aeroplane model - an Avro York. The earliest available plastic model kit of this aircraft was produced in 1967. Inaccurate model aside, it begs the question of what a kid of Pink's age would be doing with a plastic model kit during World War 2 anyway.
Continuity mistake: When they are running the obstacle course, the amount of hoops in front of the girls changes from five, to two, to five again.
Plot hole: Necros had absolutely no way of knowing that Bond and Saunders had arranged to meet at the cafe when they did, and wouldn't have had anywhere near enough time to track them down and set up his elaborate booby trap. Saunders only suggested the meeting place and time a few hours earlier, and it was kept strictly between him and Bond. The scene in Tangier where Whittaker tells Necros to kill another British agent takes place on the same day Bond arrived in Vienna; meaning that Necros got from Tangier to Vienna (a 5 hour-plus flight), tracked down Saunders, acquired the materials to booby trap the cafe doors (or had planned this ahead of time - unlikely) and set the trap up well in advance of he and Bond getting to the fairground. There was nowhere near enough time for all of that to happen without Necros having psychic knowledge of Saunders' movements.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, when Parker and Hunt are on the bus going to the contest, you'll see that Parker's hair is in waves. But when she arrives at the studio, her hair is VERY curly. Its not likely that she had time to change her hairstyle THAT drastically if she was pressed for time as she very clearly was.
Continuity mistake: When the 3 girls drive up to Val, Mel and Josie at the bowling alley after the Pussycats gig, one of them puts a Coke can on the top of the car and you can clearly see there's no picture on it. In the next shot, you can see a picture of one of the guys from DuJour on it.
Continuity mistake: In one scene when Cooper is choreographing the dance, his shirt is sweat-free. The next time you see him there's a big sweat stain on his shirt. (01:05:10)
Continuity mistake: When Ford and Jazz are at the Colleen Sutton party, Jazz is asked to keep an eye on Colleen. Collen spots her and put a CD down her dress with the black end facing downwards. When Ford is taking the CD up from her dress the black end is now facing upwards. (00:43:25 - 00:45:00)
