Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the film when the Yankees are trying to close out Game 6 of the World Series you can tell the "real" footage they use is not from the World Series. They are playing the Atlanta Braves in the World Series but you can see the Baltimore Orioles logo on the field in a number of shots.Lummie
Revealing mistake: In the bedroom, when Cassandra asks about what Jane has been writing and Jane answers, "Just something I started in London", when Jane gets up and moves to the table, it is obvious that she is wearing a g-string under her nightgown.
Revealing mistake: The "Great Train Robbery" actually took place on a two-track railway near Cheddington - the West Coast Main Line. However, the filming took place on the Great Central Railway steam line near Loughborough, which only had one track at that time. They laid a second track for the filming, but omitted to cut down a large tree at the end of the rails, which would block the path of a train. This is blindingly obvious, especially as they show this "atmosphere shot" twice. The tree is still there the second time.
Revealing mistake: In the scene at the finals at the end of the movie, you see Tuff take off his hat and smack the bull with it but then when he is bucked off you see him take it off again.
Revealing mistake: After Whale compliments Clayton for the marvellous shape of his head, Clayton pulls faces at himself in the side mirror of his pick-up before he drives off. Considering that the camera is positioned at hip level and we see his face in the mirror he couldn't actually see himself. (00:24:40)NancyFelix
Revealing mistake: When Eva is leaving with her suitcase, you can tell by the way she is holding the suitcase that she is ready to open it when it hits Magaldi.
Revealing mistake: Just before the start of the final game which is supposed to be in December we see several shots of the parking lot where it is snowing cold and obviously winter, but yet just before the game starts the camera shows a wide shot of the stadium where you can see rows and rows of lush green trees in the background.sunday33
Revealing mistake: After Brashear surfaces with the re-captured nuke and it is being hoisted aboard, the mast line snaps and slices Brashear's leg. At the very moment the piece of metal cuts him, you can see the pant-leg switch from tan to white and back to tan.
Revealing mistake: When Norman MacLean drops off Neal Burns after he falls asleep naked in the sun, Neal gets out of the car still naked with his clothes bundled in front of him. The camera angle switches to the rear view and the sunburn makeup on his back makes it look like he was wearing a bikini. His butt and back must have touched the car seat and rubbed off the makeup.
Revealing mistake: The first scene where they are trying their homemade bobsled, right after coach tells them they need 6 seconds flat, they use the same scene when Junior flips over the bobsled (3 times) but from different angles. Twice when coach is timing them and again right after where they are pushing coach in the VW bug. Junior flips over and lands on Brenner, and Sanka does the same 2 spins and lands on his knees. Revealing mistake: In one of the last scenes of the movie when the Younger Generation visits George they drive into the scene in their old jalopy Chevrolet. The only problem is, from the front end shot, anyone can see that the body moldings and lines of the car body don't line up with the hood. Also the gas filler cap is visible, in the same shot, on top of the cowl right under the windshield, revealing they hung the front end of a Chevrolet on the front of a Model "A" Ford Deluxe Phaeton. The only car ever produced with a gas tank filler on the cowl right in front of the windshield - Model "A" Fords. Chevys had too much wood in them during the '20s & '30s. They all ended up being infested with termites. So when this movie was made just 10 or 11 years after they were all produced, no Chevys could be found for filming. Chevy Emblem is visible on the radiator shell, but it's a Ford Model "A". Also the four distinctive vent doors available on Chevys, from the day, are visible instead of the louvers of a Model "A" Ford hood. The Cowl Lamps (Parking Lights) are also Model "A". Revealing mistake: Why does the railroad station look so old? It should be almost new at the time of the film.
Revealing mistake: When Caesar's ship arrives in the Alexandria marketplace, he tells his men to "go marketing" rather than force their way through the crowd with swords. Rufio says "you're not serious?" He then silently mouths along with Caesar's reply, "We shall shop our way to the palace steps." (00:11:30)
